Why can't they schools spread out all the last minute fun for parents. Sure everyone must only have 1 child because why else would you plan the 1st grade party at the same time the preschool graduation is taking place.
Oh wait you say---just pick one and go. Sure Who do I pick? The 1st grade I am expected in 2 different classes, preschool is up the hill from them (but still within the school system) and well that is only 1/2 day but yet still they managed to pick the same times.
Fun times-I could go on about the Room Parent duties which I do love but man I have heard more excuses why they can not help. I mean come on now, taking the dog to the Vet is important but what does THAT have to do with why you can't send in a bottle fo juice for the party. Go to WalMart, they sell Apple Juice big bottle for $1.97-
On to more important things: IEP and 504 meetings. All 3 had to be done on the same day. I think they do it because you have to limit your fighting because you ask for too much for the 1st child, than what happens to the other 2. So I gave up a few things and delays the need for others until the start of school and testing can be done. At least they have to do it within 45 days and well we pay privately for the same services so they don't miss out on it anyway. I just want it on paper they need the support and modifications to protect the kids--not the school.
So where have I been, busy with life and spending time with the kids. Add to computer issues and needing to find all my favorites and passwords again...and well now we are back in business.
