It seems basketball brings out the worse in his behavior and his never ending need to compete and be the best. Sure sounds like a good qualities to have but I guess for a few parents this is and issue (me included).
So I sat Matthew down to talk to him and he of course cried (breaks my heart) at the thought he might lose his friends over his behavior. I guess his best friend even called him out on his actions Friday-just found this out today. So for now he will lose some of his favorite things has a punishment and we will see how the week goes before seeing how long the punishment last. I told him if I get another call he is going to punished must worse than what he has now (I heard I am a mean mommy-so I guess I am doing my job!), UGH! Parenting is not for wimps that is for sure-and this is only the start of the school years for us.
So if anyone has some ideas I would love to hear them, please drop me a comment or two. I am dealing with 1 now but I know sooner rather than later I will have a problem with the youngest one. I guess given that he is about the same size has his older brothers does not help.
