Saturday I wake up to a horrible toothache. Called my dentist and he is willing to see me at 11am. Perfect, I know what is coming a root canel and a hugh bill. Wonderful! (sarcasm)
Mark and the boys come with me, Mark feels he will need to drive me home..ummm where was he when I had 3 root canels done at 1x-fun 3 hours that day for sure.
So I settle into the chair-have my IPOD on and listening to Brittney Spears sing toxic--should have been a clue--soon enough I am not full with it anymore. The dentist is trying to get my attention and from Mark's view--was extremly worried when he asked Mark this questions "Does you wife carry and epi-pen? I think she is having an allergic reaction". I feel very weird/faint but he is 90% done so just finish and let me go home. I leave but still not feeling "right" I tell Mark to get me home. Call the pulmonary doctor and plead with Mark if I fall asleep he will please try to wake me up--I was afraid i would never wake up again--good reason the dumbass used a latex $(#@( to keep the tooth/area sterile. Ummm it clearly states I am allergic to latex and he is wearing latex-free gloves. So off to the ER where I am rushed right in and treated....given some medication via IV and let me say---IV benedryl ROCKS! if all you plan on doing is sleeping for the next 24 hours--well it was 5 hours but I was still useless. The dentist called twice that night to ck on me and again from Mark was concerned about my "allergic reaction". That did not last long--called the next day I answer the phone and did he change his tune....it seems now I fell alseep...sure buddy. Every patient that falls asleep looks pale and unresponsive and your 1st thought is epi-pens not coffee. PLEASE! don't insult me and the ER doctor let alone I have been hospitlized several times for this exact reason. I know what happen but yet I don't plan to take your ass to court just fix my tooth..which by the way still hurts.
